Many people can say they have worked their way up through the ranks at work but few can say they started before they were large enough to reach the first step. As a child I begged my father, Al, to let me to work with him at Al's Auto Care. In 1974 I started cleaning the shop and doing odd jobs to help out. In 1979 I added pumping gas to my list of responsibilities. Many people in Brick NJ still remember me putting gas in their cars and it was a great way to start my career in the automotive service business.
I feel very fortunate to have had my dad Al senior and older brother Al show me the ropes and mentor me as an auto repair technician. I gained so much from their many years of business and auto repair experience. In addition to this solid apprenticeship early in my career I have spent 1000's of hours under the hood and in classrooms in order to master the auto repair trade. Right from the beginning I wanted to be the best so I could make our customer's cars run great.
I have a special interest and skill in diagnosing and repairing electrical and auto computer problems on every type of car on the road. I take pride in never having had an auto repair problem I could not solve.
Being a busy small businessman leaves little time for many personal interests, hobbies or activities. I make my family, two daughters Kaycee and Christina, and wonderful wife Kali, a priority. They are what I work for everyday. To give balance to my busy life I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and hold a Brown Belt under Pablo Popovitch and Black Belt Bill Scott at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Shore Academy, Point Pleasant, NJ.
To give back to the Brick NJ community I support our church, Sacred Heart Church in Bay Head NJ, as well as local groups such as the Brick Dragons Midgets and Pee Wees, Brick Little League baseball, the local Brick Volunteer Fire Department and Brick Volunteer First Aid Squad. I make taking care of my elderly neighbors a top priority.
